Vincent and Jenna arrives at some cheap motel, and checks in. Lucky that Jenna carries some cash with her. “Enjoy, lovebirds” says the receptionist
“But we’re not...” Jenna wants to argue, but decides it’s not worth her time.
As soon as they arrive in the room, Vincent closes the door and locks it with the bolt. “Not that it will be any help against these demons anyway” He thinks to himself. Jenna takes the book, and put it on the table. She starts skimming the book from front to back. She notices something right away. It’s in Greek. She sighs.
“What’s wrong?” asks Vincent.
“It’s in Greek. That’s the one class I skipped last summer because I went to Paris.”
“Oh…I see…Hm…Can I see that?” Jenna hands Vincent the book. He looks at it, stares at it, and finally says “it’s blank. There’s nothing here”
Jenna is confused “Huh? There is writing all over it from front to back. There are even pictures in it. You’re telling me you can’t see it?”
“Nope. Not a single thing”
“Hm…try the stereogram method”
“How?” asks Vincent.
“Just try to look at an imaginary dot behind the image. Concentrate on that dot for several minutes. Perhaps something will show”
Vincent does that for several minutes. After awhile, he looks at Jenna and shakes his head.
“That’s weird. Because it’s all clear to me. Man…now what?? I can’t read Greek and you can’t even see inside the book…” Jenna sighs.
“Hm…I still have the manna crystal if that helps.” Vincent takes the crystal out of his pocket. It has stopped glowing blue.
Jenna reaches for the crystal. She looks at it, plays around with it, and then, just for fun, looks through it. “Wait a minute”
“What?” Vincent gives her a baffled look.
“Whoa….No wayyyyy….”
“What??” Vincent gets impatient.
Jenna looks at him. “I can read Greek”

Vincent is amazed too. “How can you read it?”
“For some reason, when I look through this crystal, the words are starting to make sense. It seems like they’re rearranging themselves into English.”
“Huh….Cool…let me try that”
Vincent looks through the crystal. It’s still blank. He’s disappointed.
“Still nothing?”
“Nope.”
“Okay…let me do it then….can you hold this for me?” Jenna puts the book in front of her while Vincent holds the crystal like reading glasses.
“Let’s see…wow…for an old book, it is quite systematic. It already has index and page numbering. Let’s see…Manna Crystals…Chapter 15 page 120”Jenna opens the book to the desired location.
“Here we go.” Jenna reads it out loud.
“Manna crystals are very powerful crystals that can be used for both good and evil purposes, depends on the user. The main usage of manna crystals is to make a person forget his or her memory. The person’s memory, after extracted, is usually split into four parts. To regain a person’s memory, one has to either put all the parts together, or just tap the crystal to part of the person’s head. But the 2nd method is not advisable as it will create explosions during the process. The unique characteristic of manna crystals is that most of the times they can retain the residual ability, skill, and knowledge of the memory owner.”
“Ah…So that’s why I can read Greek now…it’s all your ability, Vinc…Zuriel...”
“That also explains the mini explosion I had before. Just call me Vincent for now.”
“So now we have to look for the other 3 of the manna crystals.” Jenna is thinking out loud without realizing it.
Jenna is thinking hard. She’s biting her nails. “I remember that Ben mentions someone, a very close friend of his. They have been buddies since they were little. Hm…..think think…think Jenna think.” Jenna hits her own head while pacing around the room.After a couple of minutes, suddenly Jenna shouts “Aha!!! I remember his name!!!”
“Shhh !!” Vincent silences her
“What do you mean shush??? I’m in my Eureka moment and you dare to shush me?”
“Woman, shut up!” Jenna is shocked by the tone of his voice that she immediately stops talking.
In the silent of the moment, they can hear multiple growls.
Vincent’s face turns dark. “Hellhounds”
