Chapter 7 – The Lucifer Four

Excerpt taken from Book of Angels, as interpreted by Benjamin Rabinowitz

“The Lucifer Four is a group of the most corrupt, malicious, violent and devious demons. They are the top four generals chosen personally by Lucifer. They are: Nergal, Uvall, Crocell, and Shalbriri. Nergal commands the secret police.  Uvall is one of the strongest and scariest demons. Crocell is a demon that appears like an angel. Shalbriri is the demon of blindness. Every demon plays an important part to capture Zuriel, a human angel that keeps the secret location of the Scroll of End of Days.”

How does this happen, one might wonder, a team of four demons manages to seize one of the strongest angels, extract his memories, and hides his presence? A couple hundred years ago, Michael managed to capture Nergal during the search for Zuriel. Even as the head of hell secret police, Nergal can’t hide from heaven’s scanner, the Angelus-Diablo compass. Nergal tries to resist arrest, but we believe that even the demon king himself can’t handle the power of Michael the Archangel. After a long interrogation that leads to a forced access to Nergal’s mind, Michael was able to reveal the complete story. This is a summary of what Michael found.

Hell’s dream team does the job really well. With Nergal in command, he plans the abduction from the beginning with careful detail. Nergal asks for the strongest sedative potion that Uphir, the demon magician, can create.  Then Nergal sends Crocell, Shalbriri, Uvall while he watches from afar. By posing as a wounded human angel in distress, Crocell lures Zuriel out of his hiding. When Zuriel approaches Crocell, Shalbriri appears and puts a blinding spell over Zuriel. Uvall ‘s job is to subdue him. But even with the potion from Uphir and Shalbriri’s blindness spell, Zuriel doesn’t go down without a fight. He beats Crocell to a pulp, breaks both of Uvall’s arms and knocks Shalbiri unconscious until he finally collapses from the effect of the potion.

Negall comes with the four manna crystal. He gives each demon one manna crystal, and places them over Zuriel’s head to extract his memories. Lastly, Nergal summons Uphir to cast a forbidden concealing spell to hide Zuriel’s presence, a spell strong enough to hide him from the Angelus- Diablo compass. However, halfway through the process, Uvall, out of his anger, broke Uphir’s neck. Uphir’s demise takes the concealing spell along with him to his eternal grave. Apparently Uvall is angry that the potion Uphir made was not strong enough and cost him two broken arms. Since Uphir’s spell was half done, the compass is still able to detect Zuriel’s presence within 3 yards. This is the major flaw in the plan that was unexpected by the team. The team then split into four ways, and not letting each other knows where they keep their piece of Manna Crystal. This is to avoid being tortured to tell the locations of the crystals, should one member of the team get captured.

To this day, no one knows the whereabouts of Zuriel or the location of the other 3 Manna Crystals.
