The morning sun shines like a sea of fire on the open sky, giving warmth to every living creature above the ground. The brightness encapsulates the dark parts of the land and buildings, slowly chasing the shadow away. The light creeps through the window, slowly but surely, it crawls through every corner of the room, waking up the two beings staying the night there.
The rays finally make its way to a Jenna. She squints her eyes, and covers her face with her jacket, trying to get some more sleep. Vincent is yawning and stretching, gets up and walks toward Jenna. “Wake up. It’s morning. We gotta go now.”
“5 more minutesss” She whines like a little girl.
“Okay 5 more minutes. That’s it”
“Thanks, ‘DAD’ ”
Vincent walks toward the back, looking for the caretaker asking for some food. The caretaker responds curtly “We only have bread and water.”
“We’ll take it.”
Vincent shakes Jenna’s body gently “Breakfast is served”
Jenna stretches, looks at the bread and water. “Yum” comes up with a flat sarcastic tone.
“It might be the only thing we will have today. So eat up.” Jenna makes a funny face and pulls a raspberry on Vince. After a very simple breakfast, they leave the church after thanking the caretaker.

“So…where do we go?” Vincent breathes the fresh morning air as if he’s breathing for the first time.
“Let me pull up a GPS. Let’s use this phone before the owner stops the service” Jenna types up the direction to space needle. “Okay… it’s around 800 miles from here.”
“Whoa…Even I can’t run that fast”
“Wait let me read the book. You are an angel after all, right?”
“Um...Yeah…where is this going?”
“Well, I remember reading that angels can travel a long distance really fast, ‘in the ‘twinkling of an eye’ so to speak.”
“Huh…that’s news to me” He scratches his head without realizing it.
Jenna closes her eyes “Show me angel teleportation” She opens the book, and finds the chapter on teleportation. She reads it out loud.
Angels can travel really fast. They can be faster than the speed of light depends on their class and the number of wings they have. They can move through space and time if necessary. But time travel is strictly forbidden, to avoid the angels to come back in time and change history. So this ability is limited only to certain angels with a very specific mission, although they are limited only to see the past, not being able to change it. To travel through great distance, angels must focus their minds to their destination and it will instantly take them there.
“Wow. I can do that?”
“Okay. Let’s practice a little. Can you teleport near that tree?” Jenna points to a tree in the park.
“I can try” Vincent closes his eyes, holds his breath, and concentrates really hard. “Nothing.”
“Hm…try to relax. Do you have things that are bothering you right now?”
“Yeah…When I close my eyes I can see those hellhounds in my head. They scare the hell out of me. No pun intended”
“Okay Vince, close your eyes…Relax…breath…empty your mind….” Jenna sounds like an expert yoga guru. She is ogling at Vince; serene, quiet, cool, good looking. “My, he’s REALLY cute” If only there were mirror around, she’ll notice that her face is blushing. “Are you relaxed now?”
Vincent opens his eyes. “I think so.”
“Alright, let’s try that again. Focus on that tree and teleport there”
Vincent closes his eyes, now more relaxed, and focuses his mind to the oak tree. He visualizes himself being there. Then he hears a shout from afar “You did it!!!”
He opens his eyes, looks up and finds Jenna at the bottom of the stairs on the other side. He is right under the oak tree. “Whoa…this is awesome!!!”
“Can you come back here?” Jenna’s shouting almost to the top of her lungs. Vincent closes his eyes again, and imagining him next to Jenna. “Hello stranger. Welcome back” Vincent smiles hearing that voice next to his ear.
“So, are you ready to go a little further? This is a picture of space needle. Can you try that?” She shows the image through the phone.
“Let’s keep our fingers crossed” Vincent holds Jenna’ hand and closes his eyes for a couple of seconds.
“We are still in Kansas, Toto”
“Huh?” Vincent doesn’t understand the age-old joke from Wizard of Oz. He notices that they are still in the same place.
“Never mind…what happen?”
“I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I’ve never been there or I can’t see it?”
“Hm…” Jenna bites her nails again, although it appears that nothing is left to bite. An idea comes to mind, and she downloads a Youtube video of Space Needle, and shows it to Vincent. He observes the video, closes his eyes, and tries to visualize the place. “Ok. Ready?”
“Yeah.”
Suddenly he feels the wind and rain on his face. Vincent quickly realizes something; he’s not holding Jenna’s hand. He is at the outer ledge of the observation deck of Space Needle. Jenna falls out of nowhere, land at the very edge, and slips. She manages to grab ledge. “Hold on!!!!” Vincent rushes toward her. Right in front of his eyes, her hands give out, and she falls down.
